Our facilities

The club has the use of land within the Wrest Park Estate owned by English Heritage. You don’t need to be a member of English Heritage to access the club as it sits in the publicly accessible part of the estate.

We have four full-sized lawns, two smaller lawns and the use of a pavilion clubhouse which we share with two local children’s football teams.

Maintenance of our lawns is all carried out by volunteer members under the experienced guidance of our honorary head groundskeeper.

Whilst the main croquet playing season runs from April to October, our members have the benefit of being able to play all year round and we are a popular dual-membership option for members of other nearby clubs that close during the winter months.

Players must wear flat-soled shoes to avoid damaging the grass (most types of trainers are suitable) and the club provides all other necessary equipment which members are free to use whenever they want.
