There’s no other way to say it - Bedfordshire finished bottom of Division 2 with two wins against Hampshire and Dorset, and claimed the wooden spoon

There was only one 3-0 whitewash against Lancashire and several matches where one game was decided by a single missed shot or tactical misjudgement, leading to the opposition making a significant early break or a final game-winning turn. John Bevington and Tom Anderson, playing at third pair against Essex, can perhaps be excused as Robert Fulford completed a quintuple peel, including a straight quad, on Southwick’s lush lawn 3 on Sunday evening.

Jon and David remained faihtful to each other, unlike the rest of the team who swapped partners freely over the weekend, as you can see:
