After several years at the Lower Stondon Golf Club, the venue for this year’s dinner moved to The Jolly Coopers in Wardhedges, just down the road from Silsoe. The event was ably organised by Peter Aspinall, and we had a room and a bar to ourselves. 28 people came, and afterwards chairman David Woolley presented the prizes for the various internal club competitions.
Technical note: the wall lighting played merry hell with the camera’s white balance and gave everyone the appearance of suffering from a severe case of jaundice. Efforts to correct this could not be applied in a totally consistent manner, hence the variations in tone.
