EACF GC Champions Day tournament
1 August

with apologies for the late arrival of this item

The GC Champions Day tournament is the GC equivalent of the AC event: a competition for the winners of the competitions held within clubs in the EACF in the previous season. This year it was held at Colchester.

Wrest Park’s Terry Collis played in the handicap event. There were eight players split into two groups of four played cross-block (i.e. you played everyone in the other block). The top two from each block then play each other and the winners play the final.

Terry won all four of his block games, then beat Roger Platt (Downham Market) 7-6 in the semi-final and went on to win the final 7-1 against Paul Goodall (Colchester).

There is a report on the EACF website.
